Busch has underscored the many benefits of its Dolphin LX close coupled liquid ring vacuum pumps range.

With its proven compression principle meaning it is suitable for a wide variety of industrial applications requiring a vacuum pump, Dolphin LX is used in the food, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, plus timber treatment and plastics.  Its also used particularly in critical applications, such as evacuating humid gases or vapours.

Dolphin LX’s liquid ring technology works with one moving part, the impeller shaft assembly, which is mounted eccentrically relative to the casing.  The liquid ring is formed by the service liquid, which is normally water, rotating concentrically in the casing.

Process gas enters via the suction port and travels between the impeller blades and is compressed prior to ejection through the discharge port with a quantity of service liquid.

Geoff Jennings, systems director for Busch (UK), said:  “Dolphin LX offers high efficiency and is very competitively priced, therefore offering a low cost of ownership for the user.  As with all of our products, we can also carry out a site visit and audit to advise customers on the right equipment selection to meet their specific needs.”

With an ultimate pressure of 33mbar and steam ejectors up to 8mbar, other key features of Dolphin LX include compact single stage design, easy access for internal inspection, low noise levels and vibration free operation. Capable of handling wet/corrosive process streams, the company says other benefits of the product are robust construction, minimum heat emission and low maintenance requirements.
