Ebara wins Intel’s Preferred Quality Supplier Award

Intel says that the 2015 recipients exhibited extraordinary achievements across key focus areas of quality, cost, availability, technology, customer service, labour and ethics systems, and environmental sustainability.

Ebara provides Intel with chemical mechanical polishers, plating systems, dry vacuum pumps and abatement systems.

“Intel’s emphasis on quality truly is unparalleled, so winning the PQS award is always an honour,” said Manabu Tsujimura, president of Ebara’s Precision Machinery Company. “At Ebara Corporation we have worked hard to create a culture that is focused on quality as the highest priority so winning PQS again tells us that our commitment has been meaningful and consistent.”

“It is a great pleasure to present Ebara with the Intel’s Preferred Quality Supplier award for 2015,” said Shaheen Dayal, director of Global Supply Management, Business Development and Fab Strategic Sourcing at Intel. “Ebara has made great strides in their quality efforts and supply chain initiatives in 2015. Ebara continues to excel in their development engagement and technology excellence to align with Intel’s strategic roadmaps. We look forward to their continued success and partnership.”

The PQS award is part of Intel’s Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement (SCQI) program that encourages suppliers to strive for excellence and continuous improvement. To qualify for PQS status, suppliers must score 80% on a report card that assesses performance and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, technology, environmental, social and governance goals. Suppliers must also achieve 80% or greater on a challenging improvement plan and demonstrate solid quality and business systems.
