The American National Standard for Rotodynamic (Centrifugal and Vertical) Pump Tests (ANSI/HI 14.6 – 201x), is a substantially revised and updated test standard which replaces ANSI/HI 1.6-2000 (centrifugal pump test standard) and ANSI/HI 2.6-2000 (vertical pump test standard).
The committee that developed ANSI/HI 14.6-201x worked jointly with the committee revising ISO 9906-1999 to produce test standards that contain uniform acceptance grades and tolerances. The next revision of ANSI/HI 11.6 (Submersible Pump Test Standard) will also contain the same acceptance criteria. This means that the global pump community will be working with identical acceptance grades and tolerances when specifying a pump performance test.
Individuals and organizations located in North America directly and materially affected by this standard are asked to contact HI. These parties include pump users and specifiers, producers, standards developers, government agencies, and general interest groups. HI is currently assembling a canvass list of all parties interested in reviewing the draft. This list will be submitted to ANSI in order to meet its open canvass requirements.
