Movitec VCl are vertical, multistage centrifugal pumps that can be used for handling coolants, condensate and lubricants for machine tools. They are suitable for industrial recirculation systems, cooling water circuits, washing plants and pressure boosting in general process applications.

KSB’s immersion pumps are available in five sizes and with different numbers of stages. The maximum flow rate is 27 m3/hr and the maximum discharge head is 250 m. The permissible fluid temperature ranges between -20 and +120 C. The pump sets are intended for installation on tanks, with the pump’s hydraulic section being immersed in the fluid pumped, while the motor is dry-installed. The maximum immersion depth is 732 mm.

The design combines that of submersible pumps with those of dry-installed pump/motor sets. As the largest part of the pumps is inside the tank, fewer pipes and valves are needed, and the pump can be fitted with blind stages to ensure that the pump's inlet section is close to the bottom of the tank and that the fluids pumped are recirculated well. The Movitec VCl range has hydraulically optimised stainless steel stage casings and impellers and a compact, easy-to-replace cartridge-type mechanical seal.

As a standard the pump sets are equipped with a standardised IE2 motor, and on request, they can be supplied with an IE3 motor. It is also possible to operate the pump sets using a frequency inverter.

KSB plans to launch the range at this year’s Achema, which takes place from 18 to 22 June 2012 in Frankfurt, Germany.
