Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia 2020 now online

Due to ongoing global public health concerns related to Covid-19, the 49th Turbomachinery & 36th Pump Symposia (TPS) will now be held virtually from 7–10 December 2020, with technical sessions and the exhibition online from 8–10 December and short courses taking place on 7 December.

The TEES Turbomachinery Laboratory in Texas, which hosts TPS, decided that moving the event online was the best course of action to comply with government regulations. Dr Eric Petersen, director of the Turbo Lab, said: “We determined that a virtual event was the best course of action… I have no doubt that TPS 2020 will be as successful as originally planned.”

TPS is an important industry event, offering a forum for the exchange of ideas between rotating equipment engineers and technicians worldwide, known for its impact on turbomachinery, pump, oil & gas, petrochemical, power, aerospace, chemical and water industries.

The proceedings from each Symposia become available to the public at no cost six months after the event, with all the content from all TPS technical sessions accessible online.
