The overhauled system will help improve on-site efficiency and allow for the better pumping and flow of tailings in the iron ore concentrator process.
Weir Minerals Europe supplied and installed three heavy-duty Warman WBH slurry pumps, the latest addition to the Warman range of centrifugal slurry pumps.
The company also supplied 3 km of Linatex rubber-lined steel pipes and over 200 m of specially-engineered Linatex rubber hoses to create a bespoke system for the Swedish mine.
The Weir Minerals Europe team was also responsible for the dismantling of the old tailings system and installation of the new one, which took three months in total.
