DESMI set up a sales office in Seoul early last year and has now added a second office in Busan, close to the area’s shipyards.
“The global strategy is global growth in spite of the recent financial crisis. The company will support the strong brand by being closer to the customer in order to be better at supplying pumps, pump solutions and environmental equipment,” explained Henrik Sørensen, managing director at DESMI.
DESMI has hired two Korean employees with experience of the pump business and the shipbuilding industry.
“It is important to have a local touch and with our two new colleagues we will be able to better support this important market,” said Henrik Mørkholt, sales director at DESMI. “In addition to a focused effort on the marine market the new office will also enable us to make a more intensive effort on the other market areas that are handled by the office in Seoul.”
