The new gas booster system is being built by Haskel’s team in Sunderland, UK under a £160 000 contract.

Haskel Aberdeen business development manager Jim Millar said: “This is a new design, using six pumps working in tandem to create sufficient pressure to close down the system. It is the kind of equipment that is hardly ever needed, but when it is, it is crucial.”

Haskel designs and manufactures high pressure pumps and valves for the defence, energy and oil and gas sectors in more than 50 countries.
