Hayward Tyler signs marketing and aftermarket initiative with Eureka Pumps

This follows orders for 14 units for the Aasta Hansteen and Martin Linge projects in the North Sea that the two companies recently jointly won. These orders, valued at more than £3.5 million to Hayward Tyler, will bring the number of submersible motor units installed by the UK company in the North Sea to more than 130.

Under the agreement, orders secured for new equipment will be manufactured at Hayward Tyler’s’ facilities in the UK with the aftermarket being serviced through the two companies’ international network of offices.

Hayward Tyler and Eureka Pumps will also work together to provide combined aftermarket services for submersible motor units. Eureka will be the sole authorised supplier of repair services and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) spares for Hayward Tyler’s offshore equipment in Norwegian waters.

Ewan Lloyd Baker, CEO of Hayward Tyler, said: “The offshore top side pump market is anticipated to expand by 12% annually over the next five years with significant market opportunities existing on the North Sea’s Continental Shelf as well as in Korea and Africa. We see the agreement with Eureka as providing a key channel for further growing our presence in the topside market in the North Sea and internationally. The orders give us further confidence of achieving our forecasts for the current financial year.”

“We view Hayward Tyler as the market leader in the design and manufacture of submersible motors for offshore exploration with both organisations fully understanding the importance of lifecycle management. We are delighted to have entered into this OEM Agreement with Hayward Tyler,” said Jarle Tautra, managing director of Eureka.
