As chief strategy officer, Billard will be responsible for the implementation of the Sulzer Full Potential program.
Sulzer says that it has established this corporate program to “frame and accelerate the change journey toward becoming one focused, market-oriented, globally operating company.” The company is aiming to strengthen its core business organically and through acquisitions, reduce the complexity of operations, and maximize synergies and overall efficiency.
“By lifting the leadership of the Sulzer Full Potential program to the level of the Executive Committee, we are emphasizing the importance of this program, which was designed to substantially increase the company’s profitability,” said Klaus Stahlmann, CEO of Sulzer.
Billard comes to his new role from Sulzer’s Chemtech business where he was head of the Mass Transfer Technology unit. Since joining Sulzer in 2004, Billard has held a number of management and business development positions across the company in Switzerland and Singapore.
