Büchner, who will leave Sulzer in the fourth quarter of 2011, joined Sulzer in 1994, served as president of Sulzer Pumps from 2003 to 2006, and became president and CEO of Sulzer Corp in early 2007.
Sulzer chairman Jürgen Dormann said: “The board of directors regrets Ton Büchner’s decision, thanks him for his important strategic and operational contributions to the success of Sulzer over the last 17 years, and wishes him all the best for his personal and professional future”.
