Alfa Laval has named Sameer Kalra as the new head of its Marine Division and a member of the Group management from 1 January 2019.
Peter Leifland, the current president of Alfa Laval’s Marine Division, is retiring at the beginning of 2019.
Kalra, Business Unit president for Pumping Systems in the Marine Division, Norway, has extensive marine experience including 10 years sailing on merchant ships. He also has more than 20 years of experience in different management positions, first in Aalborg Industries and then in Alfa Laval, both in Asia and in Europe.

His expertise and knowledge about the marine industry, as well as his experience from both service and capital sales business from different parts of the world, is a perfect fit,” said Tom Erixon, president and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group. “Sameer is first and foremost a global business leader, and he will continue to build the division with a strong customer focus.”
