Caprari launches K + Energy 'DryWet' sewage pumps

The new K + Energy pump range from Caprari is dedicated to wastewater. The range comes with the DryWet cooling system as standard, enabling customers to use a single model both for submerged and dry applications. The K+Energy models are also available as in an explosion-proof version with ATEX and IECEx (North America explosion protection directive) certifications.

The conductivity probe in the oil chamber, also obtainable in the Atex version –  patent pending, means that in case the first seal is damaged, the alarm signal is immediately sent to the panel, making it is possible to carry out the repair while avoiding the pumped liquid as it passes the barrier created by the second seal; the electric motor is always protected.

Maintenance made easy

The connector, supplied as standard on all K+Energy models, allows the pump to be disconnected without having to remove the cables from the panel, transporting and then reconnecting them.

There are many features of the new DryWet pump including: anti-sedimentation system on the section side; fiber-cutting system in the back impeller and protection of the mechanical seal; blades on the back, which clean the area for seal protection and give axial thrust compensation for bearings protection; wide passages for real anti-clogging.
