IFAT 2014 - new products from Radiodetection and Pearpoint

The upgraded P350 flexitrax from Pearpoint, offers inspection professionals a portable modular crawler system. The system has a intuitive user interface and one-touch control over video and photo-capturing. The system is small enough to fit into the boot of a standard car and can be truck or van mounted and wheeled on-site using the transportable barrow design.

Radiodetection's new range of precision locators is a development of the RD7000 and RD8000 platforms adding the ability to detect RF utility markers also known as EMS or omnimakers. Featuring an automatic marker depth measurement system, which eliminates the need for a two-step manual process and combined utility and marker locating mode, the manufacturers claim that this new marker locator range delivers faster and more accurate surveys.

The RD1000+ is on show for the first time. It incorporates radar technology and displays an image of underground features. A technician can see a pipe or cable in its topographical context - a useful tool in locating and excavating utilities. The advantage over a traditional electromagnetic locator is that the RD1000+ can see non-conductive materials including plastic pipes.
