AQUA Netherlands is Holland’s most successful water trade event and Hiflex displayed the latest developments in the field of optimal pump control and the energy savings available through the use of variable frequency drives.
John van der Lugt, sales manager at Hiflex said that Invertek’s Optidrive range provides a solution for pump control by offering technology that allows simple operation of multiple pump sets without the need for a PLC. Pump blockage detection and cleaning also dramatically reduces pump maintenance requirements and a built-in PLC function on the Optidrive allows customised applications to be programmed directly in the drive.
The variable frequency drives also have pump operating curve detection that automatically monitors normal behaviour and react when pumping conditions change.
The Optidrives also optimize energy consumption by intelligently matching usage to the pump load to ensure pumps operate at maximum efficiency.
