The KSB pumps are the largest submersible motor units in the company’s history with a power output of 1150KW and a total weight of 15 tonnes. They are currently under construction at the KSB factory in Halle, Germany. Each pump can handle 2000 litres per second at a head of almost 44 metres.

KSB says that short delivery periods of six to ten months and positive references from the pumps it supplied to the earlier La Caldera project were decisive factors in winning the contract.
