Italian pump manufacturer, Salvatore Robuschi has joined forces with environmental and industrial management services company, SIMAM, on a project at a water treatment plant in Terni, Italy.

SIMAM supplied all the plant for the project and chose Salvatore Robuschi to supply the pumps. All the pumps were tested on Robuschi test bench before the delivery and it is now supplying more than 20 pumps for biological sludge circulation in ultrafiltration units.

The water treatment plant is owned by a large Italian company and it handles concentrate from dyeing processes. Robuschi’s heavy-duty RS pumps with a vortex impeller are being used for the concentrate which has a PH of 6/7 and contains small solids and its cast iron PN10 pumps are used for the sludge.

Most of the company’s range of pumps are being used on different parts of the project and its biggest pumps, the RB 300-46 with channel impeller handle large quantities of liquid which also contains small solids to presurise all the membranes.
