St. Petersburg Pumps Company (SPN) announced the launching of Russia's first production of rotary vane pumps - the only kind of pumping equipment, which until now has been completely imported in the Russian market. As commented SPN director Alexei Zakharov this step is very important for the whole Russian pumps market.
"Out of the 48 major types of pumps for industrial use so far thanks to the forces of a dozen factories in our country, Russia was producing 47. The most technologically advanced rotary-vane installation for pumping of viscous liquids on the Russian market was completely imported. Today, I am happy to report that the gap was successfully closed by the company SPN" he commented.
It is noteworthy that according to the sources of the company the new pumps will not only be able to compete with foreign models but also because variety of know-how will be more advanced in the number of process parameters. The first Russian rotary vane pumps will enter the market in coming months. SPN expect a good demand as it pumps most likely will be cheaper compare to the foreign models.
