It is vital for lifting stations to remain efficient, so it is sometimes necessary to automatically clean the pits internally even in critical working conditions periods. Any system capable of performing this task would have to keep the fluid moving so the solids which naturally tend to settle on the bottom, especially in the zones where the fluid is calm, remain in suspension.
