DXP Enterprises Inc has acquired Arroyo Process Equipment, a Florida-headquartered distributor of pumps, process equipment, and related service and repairs focused on serving the asphalt, mining, industrial water, chemical and other industrial markets.
• DESMI acquires Denmark’s Nordan Marine
DESMI has announced the acquisition of Nordan Marine A/S, a Danish provider of pumps and service and repair solutions for cargo and fuel handling systems, including those used for LPG and LEG carriers as well as LNG and alternative fuel-capable vessels.
• Sulzer expands in Middle East with acquisition of Bahrain-based Davies and Mills
Sulzer has acquired Davies and Mills, an electromechanical services (EMS) provider based in Bahrain. The new facility offers maintenance and repair services for rotating equipment - including generators, alternators, motors, and pumps - while strengthening its footprint in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
• Franklin Electric acquires Australia’s PumpEng
Franklin Electric Co Inc has bought Australia-based PumpEng Pty Ltd, a global original equipment manufacturer of submersible pumps targeted for the mining sector. This acquisition continues to strengthen Franklin Electric’s commitment to the mining industry and complements existing operations in Australia under the Pioneer Pump and Minetuff brands.
• Honeywell to acquire Sundyne in US$2.16bn deal
Honeywell has agreed to acquire Sundyne from private equity firm Warburg Pincus in a US$2.16 billion an all-cash transaction. Sundyne designs, manufactures and supports highly-engineered pumps and gas compressors used in process industries. Pumps brands include Sundyne, Sunflo, Ansimag, HMD Kontro and Marelli.
• FloWorks expands pumps platform
FloWorks International LLC has bought CAC Industrial Equipment Ltd, a Victoria, British Columbia-headquartered distributor of pumps and parts with repair service capabilities. CAC will continue to serve a diverse customer base across mining, aggregate, water, and other industrial end markets.
• Alfa Laval to acquire Fives Group’s cryogenics business for €800mn
Alfa Laval has signed a binding put-option agreement to acquire the Fives Cryogenics business unit, part of Fives Group, in a €800 million deal. Headquartered in France, Fives Cryogenics specializes in cryogenic heat transfer and pump technologies. The proposed acquisition remains subject to consultation with the relevant works councils, after which the parties expect to enter into a definitive purchase agreement.
• Lufkin sells North America Downhole business to Q2 Artificial Lift Services
Lufkin Industries has announced the sale of its North America Downhole (NAM Downhole) business to Q2 Artificial Lift Services, a provider of downhole reciprocating pumps. This transaction aligns with Lufkin’s strategic focus on its core surface business and Q2’s focus on its subsurface business.
