Alfa Laval has introduced a new subscription-based condition monitoring and Cloud gateway for pumps and other rotating equipment in hygienic processing industries.
The CM Connect enables operators to access data from a remote location. It provides information on actual runtime, trend analysis and the length of time to the next service allowing operators to make informed maintenance decisions using their own computers and mobile devices.
The aim is to detect potential performance issues, prevent unplanned downtime and improve asset management while saving time and improving safety.
Acting as a gateway communicating via Bluetooth, the CM Connect can link up to 10 Alfa Laval CM wireless vibration monitors. It then transmits the data over a 4G cellular network to the Cloud for review and analysis on a dashboard.
Advanced vibration analysis detects any deviation and notifiers users by SMS or e-mail.
The CM Connect can also act as a sensor measuring vibration, temperature and total runtime when mounted on Alfa Laval LKH, SRU, SX and DuraCirc pumps, or other rotating machines such as agitators and mixers.
