ASCE MD to present keynote at Gabelli’s Pump, Valve & Water Systems Symposium

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) managing director Brian Pallasch will deliver a keynote address on America’s critical infrastructure investment needs at Gabelli & Co’s 28th Annual Pump, Valve & Water Systems Symposium.

The research meeting takes place on 22 February in New York City.

Pallasch’s keynote will cover the facts behind the Infrastructure Report Card (infrastructurereportcard.org). He will also address the economic case for America’s infrastructure and the policy solutions that can close the infrastructure funding gap.

ASCE represents more than 150 000 members of the civil engineering profession in 177 countries.

Pallasch is currently managing director of Government Relations and Infrastructure Initiatives at ASCE in Washington, DC. He has been responsible for managing the ASCE’s government relations department, including federal and state legislative affairs, regulatory affairs, grassroots, and policy development, since joining the staff in 1999. Since 2008, Pallasch has been responsible for managing ASCE’s strategic initiative regarding infrastructure, including development of the Infrastructure Report Card, and the Failure to Act economic studies.
