The new GE DVS centrifugal pipeline pump is designed to offer 3-4% higher efficiency than prior GE technology for liquid pipeline applications, with a flow of up to 9500 cubic meters per hour, reducing operator electricity costs and associated CO2 emissions from power generation.
Joe Mastrangelo, vice president of turbomachinery at GE Oil & Gas, said: “Oil and gas operators are constantly seeking reliable, proven and cost-effective solutions to optimize performance and reduce environmental footprint. The ecomagination qualified DVS centrifugal pipeline pump delivers all of these benefits and is an excellent example of the innovation and added value we provide to our customers.”
To date, eight GE Oil & Gas products are included in the GE ecomagination portfolio.
Launched in May 2005, ecomagination is GE's commitment to develop innovative technologies that help customers address their environmental and financial needs while helping GE to grow.
