CIRCOR has improved its Allweiler EMTEC-Cthree-screw coolant pump so that it can handle pump outlet pressure needs from 0 – 100 bar.
Originally introduced last year, the pump is now able to deal with even higher pressure applications than before and, the company says, offers manufacturers one simplified pump designed for keeping abrasive machine chips, particles and heat away from cutting surfaces in machine tool coolant service.
Used in high-pressure machine tool coolant service for metalworking, transfer lines, grinding and deep drilling machine applications, the EMTEC-C can be customised for different sizes and spindle pitch angles and accommodates tank-top, submerged and horizontal configurations.
The enhanced EMTEC-C is for applications using good, limited or poor lubricating liquids as well as abrasive fluids. Its reversed handing idler and integrated thrust compensation system, seal options, transparent backflow pipe and extra-long piston are all designed to improve durability and performance and keep flow loss low.
The enhanced EMTEC-C 100 bar option in screw pitch angles of size 20 is available immediately, while the size 40 will be available in early August.
