2010 aftermarket bookings at Flowserve were up 10.0% to US$1.7 billion.

Flowserve bookings for the fourth quarter 2010 were approximately US$1.0 billion, an increase of 9.4% on 2009’s fourth quarter, while aftermarket bookings for the fourth quarter 2010 were approximately US$445 million, up 16.3% on 2009.

The company’s backlog at 31 December 2010 was approximately US$2.6 billion, compared with US$2.4 billion at the end of  2009.

“During the fourth quarter, we continued to see some improvements in our short cycle OEM business and solid increases in our aftermarket bookings, which further increased our aftermarket backlog and reinforces our confidence in our end user strategy,” said Mark Blinn, Flowserve president and CEO. “While our long cycle large order activity will likely continue to be choppy and competitive in 2011, we remain confident in the long term opportunities presented by our markets.”
