Flowserve partners with Texas-based Lamar University

Flowserve Corp has opened a new Learning Resource Center (LRC) on the Lamar University campus in Beaumont, Texas, USA.

The new LRC will allow Flowserve customers and Lamar University students to engage with the company’s products and technology through hands-on, lab-based learning experiences.

Flowserve’s dedicated team of certified trainers will facilitate product demonstrations and simulations, as well as leverage other training tools, to deepen participants’ understanding of the company’s flow control systems. Based on the level of training, participants may be eligible to receive professional development or educational credits following completion.

“We are excited about partnering with Lamar University and the mutual opportunities this relationship will bring,” said Lamar Duhon, Flowserve’s president of Aftermarket Services and Solutions. “The Learning Resource Center will help us better connect with and support our customers, especially those in the Gulf Coast region of Texas and Louisiana, while furthering the education and development of Lamar University’s future innovators.”

Lamar University, a member of The Texas State University System and home to more than 17,000 students, is one of the fastest growing colleges and universities in Texas.
