Grundfos is contributing financially to the new panda facility at Copenhagen Zoo in Denmark.
The new facility will be home to pandas Mao Sun and He Xing when they move from Chengdu, China to Denmark.
“At Grundfos, we see the new facilities as a token of the good and close relationship between Denmark and China, as well as between Grundfos and China. Therefore, we would like to contribute to the construction of the facilities,” said Kim Nøhr Skibsted, Grundfos group vice president, Communication, Public Affairs and Engagement.
“At the same time, we are looking forward to showing the facilities to our international business partners.”
The first turf for the panda facility was cut recently by Danish prime minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen and the Chinese ambassador to Denmark Deng Ying.
The facilities, which have been designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and Scønherr Landskabsarkitekter, will be ready by November 2018.
