The CDR uses proprietary conductive filaments to protect bearings from stray shaft currents generated by variable frequency drives (VFDs). The CDR provides a low impedance path to ground, drawing the currents away from the bearings and preventing premature bearing failure. This new version follows extensive research and development efforts in combination with field testing. According to the company, the new single piece design results in a more durable product – delivering improved, long-lasting protection for motor bearings and the bearings of coupled equipment. The CDR offers long-lasting protection from stray shaft currents and increased robustness.
