The new Pit Boss pumps from Ingersoll Rand are equipped with a diaphragm that the company says can last up to four times longer than other models and have a patented air motor that can prevent ice-over or stall-out. Pit Boss pumps have a powerful suction lift and flow rates of up to 821 L/min. If semi-solids and solids are an issue, optimised flow passages enable transfer of fluids with particles up to 1 inch (25.4 mm) in diameter. According to Ingersoll Rand, Pit Boss pumps also have one-way exhaust check valves, enabling submersion if there is a need to place a pump deep in a sump or hole.

The Pit Boss pumps also incorporate a removable screened inlet and collapsible comfort-grip handles for convenient portability. They are available in three port sizes with an integrated base plate to distribute weight and ensure operation on soggy and unstable terrain.

The Pit Boss pumps can be used in hazardous areas and explosive environments without fear of ignition-related sparking.
