Pump manufacturers will also be there, showcasing intelligent pumps and their further development into smart pumps. By integrating pumps with digital tools, the companies will demonstrate their possibilities for the building services of tomorrow.
The VDMA Pumps + Systems Association says that in view of the ongoing tense economic and geopolitical situation, the German and European pump industry performed comparatively well in 2024: German exports of Pumps + Systems fell by a nominal 4% on 2023 levels. This corresponded to an export volume of €6.1 billion. As in previous years, the most important partner countries for German exporters were in Europe, with the largest single buyer countries being the USA, China, the Czech Republic, France and the Netherlands.
According to the VDMA-wide economic survey, the picture is divided for building services, one of the many customer sectors for Pumps + Systems. One third of respondents rate the current situation as good to very good, one third as satisfactory and one third as poor. All respondents expect business development to remain the same over the next six months.
"We assume that we will be able to achieve the previous year's sales level of almost €6 billion in 2025," said Christoph Singrün, managing director of VDMA Pumps + Systems.
