Long-running Tsurumi demo pump on display at BAUMA 2022

Tsurumi will have a KRS2-80 pump on its stand at BAUMA 2022 that has run for 20,000 hours without maintenance.

This KRS2-80 has run as a demonstrator for 21 years without any maintenance and will be on display at Bauma 2022.

The pump is the company’s own demonstrator for the series. It was put into service in 2001 and the first service was carried out after 21 years - purely as a safety measure in the run-up to the trade fair. It turned out that just a seal and small parts were replaced.

The pump series is one of the most frequently built by Tsurumi and is designed for water containing mud or sand. It moves about 1700 l/min or pushes water up about 16 metres. The water may contain stones with a diameter of up to 30 mm.

The pump can be seen in a live wet operation on Tsurumi’s A6.338 stand at BAUMA. Tsurumi will have a workbench on site and pump technicians will use it to demonstrate how to service a pump with visitors invited to join in.

Tsurumi will also be presenting innovations at BAUMA 2022, including the KRDX, a completely new series of safety pumps that are approved according to IECEx and ATEX. The company will also be showing the digital Tsurumi Connect system for seamless monitoring of pumps and other machines, including those from other manufacturers. Operators can use the Tsurumi Connect system to determine the location of their machines, read out performance data or define alarm and failure scenarios.

The BAUMA trade fair takes place 24–30 October 2022 in Munich, Germany.
