Xylem has appointed Jason Howlett as its new managing director for the UK and Ireland, overseeing both the sales and services divisions of the business.
Howlett comes to Xylem with 18 years of experience in the water industry, including 16 years with Severn Trent Water, where he was involved in operating and maintaining some of the largest assets in the UK water industry.
Over the past 10 years Howlett has managed a wide portfolio of businesses in capital goods across a number of sectors including construction and mining, border security and energy storage.
“Joining Xylem feels like coming home – it’s an industry I have been passionate about since graduating in Water and Environmental Management at university all those years ago,” said Howlett. “Not only that, Xylem is far more than a business – it is a brand that inspirationally uses its market position to have significant social impact, and therefore an organisation I am proud to now be part of.”
