UK pump rental provider Selwood has opened a new multi-million-pound centre in Crayford, London.
The new centre will have more capacity, a bigger team and an expanded offering for Selwood customers across London and the South East of England.
The Crayford facility replaces and significantly expands on Selwood’s nearby branch in Charlton, which has now closed.
Crayford is mainly a new build with large-capacity storage facilities, and modern offices and customer areas that are designed to comply with social distancing measures.
The expansion will allow Selwood’s London team to offer faster response times and store an increased stock of pumps along with pipework, stoppers and accessories.
A larger yard means a bigger vehicle fleet can be based on site, and there are charging points for Selwood’s growing number of electric and hybrid vehicles.
The new centre is part of Selwood’s ongoing investment in its premises and pump fleet. The company recently hit a milestone with 5000 pump units available for rental across its UK-wide branch network.
John Lovell, managing director of Selwood Pump Rental Solutions, said the new London centre reinforces the company’s ability to deliver on major projects such as the new HS2 high speed railway and to serve its broad customer base, from independent contractors to major water companies.
“We are very proud of what we have achieved here and are looking forward to welcoming customers to Selwood London,” said Lovell.
Selwood is headquartered in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire.
