In 2011, Swedish pump manufacturer Tapflo introduced a flap valve sanitary pump to the market. The pump can handle liquids that contain big solids without causing damage. Now Tapflo has introduced an improved version of flap valves for sanitary pumps. The flap valve consists of fewer parts but is more robust, therefore extending pump lifetime. The T225 and T425 pump sizes can handle solids up to 50 mm and the pump reaches 4.5 meters dry suction head. Another key feature of the new design is that the flap valve itself is more hygienic and easier to clean. Alongside with these changes the flap valve was also introduced to Tapflo’s biggest sanitary pump – the T825.
