This is the first time that Torishima has worked with Tecnicas Reunidas and exported pumps to the Dominican Republic.
The Los Mina Power Plant, which is located near Santo Domingo, is a simple cycle power plant with two 105MW simple-cycle natural gas-fired turbines in operation. The conversion will enable the plant to increase its capacity from 210 MW to 324 MW without using additional gas.
Torishima has also received an order for eight CPW150-315 boiler recirculation pumps from US heat recovery system designer Nooter/Eriksen for a combined cycle power plant in Djelfa, Algeria.
