Smith & Loveless launched its Quicksmart System Controls, a PLC-based controller featuring 'unparalleled functionality and a user-friendly interface', at WEFTEC this month. Available for all S&L pumping systems, the controller provides the ability to monitor and adjust all pump station functions.
The new graphical interface is easy to use, aligned with S&L’s current design principles. The new layout makes modifications, screen navigation and viewing of pump station status easier than before, with screen function buttons and a status bar accessible from each screen.
New features include a digital Maintenance Log, I/O Status, Spanish Language Mode and Help functions.
The Maintenance Log displays periodic recommended operation / maintenance instructions and makes lubrication suggestions based on actual pump run times. The I/O Status function displays all digital and analog input / output statuses, factoring into improved overall Help functions of the control system.
Other key features include Alarm Management, Wet Well Level Simulation, Pump On / Off
Levels, Prime Mode Selection, Environmental System Set Points and optional Stationcomm integration.
