KI Park unites companies, start-ups and research institutions as well as political and social players with the aim of driving forward AI innovations “made in Germany and Europe”. As a new member, Wilo will play an active role in shaping this development.
“With numerous applications being used to develop and produce our products, systems and solutions, we can already be regarded as a true AI pioneer,” said Oliver Hermes, president & global CEO of the Wilo Group. “Without a doubt, an outstanding example of this is our high-tech factory at the Group headquarters in Dortmund, the Smart Factory.”
Wilo is also helping to shape the sustainable future of AI outside of its own laboratories and factories. Peter Glauner, Regional CEO & CSO of Wilo Europe said: “Our pumps and pump systems are used throughout the entire AI value chain, for example, for cooling data centres.”
“AI is a key technology for ensuring the competitiveness of Germany and Europe as a location for innovation,” said Dr Florian Schütz, managing director of KI Park e V. “We are looking forward to engaging in dialogue with Wilo and are certain that we have found a valuable partner in this new member. Wilo believes in the transformative power of AI, as do we.”
