Following a lengthy judging session, held at Loughborough University on 3 October, the British Pump Manufacturers’ Association (BPMA) has been confirmed as a finalist in the Contribution to Skills & Training category for the second year running.
This annual awards programme is staged by the Association of Electrical & Mechanical Trades (AEMT), the international trade body for companies who supply, install, service, maintain and repair industrial machinery technology such as electric motors, drives and pumps.
Awards go to the company, organisation, or individual(s) that can demonstrate a consistent contribution to the delivery of professional training and skills development in the electro-mechanical industry.
The BPMA’s ongoing commitment to providing independent pump training to anyone involved in the installation, operation and repair of pumps and their related systems was once again recognised by the judging panel. Gary Wilde, BPMA's technical services officer, commented: "We are thrilled to have been selected as a finalist in this category for a second year running.”
The winners of each of the eight individual award categories will be announced at the gala presentation dinner on 21 November in Coventry.
