Xylem is supplying Flygt N3000 submersible pumps, Flygt 4600 series mixers, a Sanitaire Silver Series II aeration system and high efficiency screw blowers as part of a project to improve the quality of wastewater treatment in the city.
Purac is overseeing the development of the two new treatment facilities which will have a combined capacity of 208 000 population equivalents (PE).
Patrik Almlöf, account manager for Xylem, said: “Our integrated solution, which includes a complete, turn-key aeration system, will improve wastewater quality while also decreasing biological build-up at the plants which optimises the life span of the facilities.”
The new plants are due to start operating in autumn 2015.
