Graco says the new pump is field-proven to be capable of operating at pressures of up to 10,000 PSI, even with low flow rates, and dramatically reduces freezing, stopping and stalling. The company adds that the pump’s quiet, reliable and smooth operation means less downtime and lower cost of ownership.“We recognized the need for more reliable grease pumps in well services for the oil and natural gas industry, as well as in wire rope maintenance. Our Hydraulic Dyna-Star pumps were already known for their long life and reliable operation in demanding off-road mobile applications, making them a perfect fit for the industry,” said Dan Jensen, global product marketing manager for Graco’s lubrication equipment division. “Now, with our new high-pressure pump, we can offer Graco quality and maximum pressure at low flow rates.”It is claimed the High-Pressure Hydraulic Dyna-Star requires about one-third of the energy of pneumatic pumps, and operates much more quietly. Graco also says the pump is self-lubricating, reducing the need for maintenance. It is ideal for oil and gas well services, as well as for preventing internal corrosion in wire rope applications.
