The company says that a pump using these motors will mean a 10% energy saving as well as up to a 25% reduction in payback time. The motors’ high level of efficiency exceeds the forthcoming IE3 legislative standards, by actually meeting the strictest IE5 criteria – the highest energy efficiency level for electrical motors. This new generation of Grundfos MGE motors – from 0.25 kW to 11 kW – now qualify as capable of attaining ‘super’ status.
