The Haldex Concentric stand will highlight five major innovations: the EMS hydraulic hybrid system, Concentric variable flow oil and coolant pumps, Varivent EGR regulation technology and the Alfdex centrifugal oil mist separator. All offer major environmental benefits for the next generation of engines and platforms. This takes the form of fuel economy in the first four and improved emissions in the case of Alfdex.
Haldex Concentric is already developing variable flow pumps for the Euro 6 engines of three leading truck manufacturers as well as a further three projects in the USA. Variable flow oil and coolant pumps are both designed to match fluid flow to the engine's real requirement at every point of the cycle rather than providing a constant flow irrespective of the actual demand. In an engine where both Haldex Concentric variable coolant and oil pumps are fitted, fuel savings can reach as much as 5%; meeting legislative and environmental requirements, and enhancing the performance of the engine.
In addition, the stand will feature a full range of Haldex hydraulic pumps, motors, fan drives and power packs as well as Concentric diesel engine pumps and integrated front cover assemblies.
Haldex Concentric will be exhibiting at stand B21 in Hall 13 and on the Haldex group stand C03 in Hall 26 at IAA 2010 in Hanover from 23 to 30 September.
