Valve demand fuels European expansion

The move sees Knife Gate, Diaphragm and Resilient-Seat Butterfly go on sale across the region which includes North Africa and Kazakhstan.

Tony G. Locke, managing director of Weir Minerals Europe, said: “BDK valves have a loyal following among customers elsewhere in the world and we feel it is a natural step to respond to demand and make them available in Europe.

“They are suitable for a wide range of duties in a diverse range of sectors, from mining and minerals industries to paper, chemicals, water treatment, sugar, steel and fertiliser production.”

The BDKvalve range will be supported by Weir Minerals’ established service network which includes more than 20 service centres across Europe, North Africa and Kazakhstan.

Weir Minerals has planned for significant demand from European customers. The company’s aftermarket team has been trained in servicing the products, wherever the customer is based.
