At this year’s Drives and Controls exhibition, Birmingham, 10-12 April motor manufacturer WEG will be promoting its motors and drive solutions at stand D710, hall 9.
WEG will be launching its Industry 4.0 compatible motor scanning. This technology is targeted at engineers, who monitor the health of their installed motors. The new technology allows for real time monitoring via a smart device App.
WG20 geared motors
Also on display will be WEG’s energy efficient motors and drives. Included is the expanded WG20 geared motors portfolio with helical, parallel-shaft and helical bevel gear drives for rated torques up to 4500 Nm. The housings of the new gear units are manufactured from grey cast iron. The gearboxes are aimed at demanding applications and are available with high-performance motors in energy efficiency classes up to IE4, providing a good power to weight ratio.
By focusing on engineering technology within the field of Industry 4, WEG hopes that its new technology will demonstrate how the theory of the Internet of Things (IOT) can be turned into reality to bring maintenance benefits to all industry sectors.
