WEG will showcase its range of gears, motors and frequency inverters, now also available to the Eastern European market, at stand 112 in Hall V at the MSV in Brno, from 29 September to 3 October 2014.
Product highlights will include the W22 motors (efficiency classes IE2 to IE4), the new compact medium and high voltage W50 and W60 motors as well as modular system motors and the WATT MAS modular gearbox.
Central and Eastern Europe market
“MSV in Brno is an ideal opportunity for us to introduce our products to the region,” says Wolfgang Meyer, managing director of Watt Drive Antriebstechnik GmbH. “Central and Eastern Europe is an important market for WEG and we see a lot of growth potential there. Expanding our sales partnerships in the region is an opportunity for us to strengthen our position in Europe and develop our distribution structures in countries such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.”
Visitors to the MSV can learn more about WEG’s product portfolio including the modular EUSAS (EUrope – USA – ASia) system motor which will be on show. Developed by WEG and Watt Drive to meet the requirements of the global market, EUSAS combines WEG motor technology with the modular Watt Drive MAS gearbox for the first time.
Different network voltages
The motor is available both as a flange-mounted gearbox motor and as a standard asynchronous motor in B3, B5 and B14 models, and is available in two, four and six pole versions and in sizes IEC 63 to 315 for output ranges from 0.12 to 200 kW. System motors can be used flexibly worldwide under different network voltages (200 V to 690 V) and frequencies (50 Hz and 60 Hz).
The modular Watt Drive gear motor range is also an ideal solution for a variety of applications. Available with various types of shaft, different assembly and fixing possibilities, gear types such as helical gears, helical bevel gears, parallel shaft gears or helical worm gears, and a large modular motor, the range covers torque requirements of up to 20,000 Nm. At the same time, modern design and manufacturing processes at WEG ensure the creation of high quality and efficient drives.
