Developed to deliver energy efficient vacuum and over pressure generation, Busch says the Tyr range is designed for a range of applications including pneumatic conveying, waste water aeration, soil remediation and low pressure compressed air.
Busch UK claims that the Tyr offers a 30% smaller footprint than equivalent products on the market. The pump also features integral fork lift access, for easy handling and transportation when required. Front mounted condition gauges, indicating pressure, vacuum and gear box oil enable quick checks and maintenance. All connections, including inlet and outlet valves, ventilation and electrical have been designed for easy access.
The Tyr comes with two, tri rotary lobes, which operate in opposite directions to provide six pulses following one turn. Its quiet operation and reduced exhaust air make are intended to make the Tyr suitable for applications such as pneumatic conveying. The pump is available with a flow range from 2 up to 73 m3/min (120 to 4380 m3/h) and has a pressure range of -0.5 bar to +1 bar, depending upon the installed motor.
A centrifugal ventilator provides a low, stable temperature within the casing to ensure optimum operation. Vacuum/pressure safety valves secure the pump against overload.
