GEF 2017 to discuss environmental issues across the Gulf region

GEF 2017 will take place between 4 – 6 April at the Jeddah Hilton in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The conference is Saudi Arabia’s leading platform to discuss environmental issues, legislation and strategy and the event will emphasize co-operation to develop industries and strategies to support the GCC’s potential. The two-day forum will discuss and utilize methods and technologies to achieve environmental sustainability.

Key topics which will be discussed at GEF 2017 are: enhancing sustainable development;

strategies in waste management;  green infrastructure; energy efficiency & renewable energy;  sustainability in agriculture and technologies in the water industry.

The GEF was originally launched under the initiative of the Presidency of Meteorology &

Environment in 2010 and is now Saudi Arabia’s flagship environmental event.  Now under the initiative of the Ministry of Environment, Water & Agriculture and presided over by the General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection, GEF serves all sectors of the environmental industry.
