Wiemelt, most recently vice president and general manger of Sundyne Americas and Sundyne Dijon in France, joined Sundyne in 1988.
He succeeds Phil Ruffner who has decided to retire after a 38-year career with Sundyne and Hamilton Sundstrand. During Ruffner’s 11 years as Sundyne president, the company experienced top line growth of 270% and 300% in earnings. Ruffner also led the acquisition and integration of four companies and set up Sundyne’s China operations.
Also effective 1 January 2012, Shawn Olson will be appointed general manager Sundyne Americas.
