The centre is strategically located in Leszno in the west of the Poland.
As well as providing a convenient location for off-site repair and maintenance works by a team of engineers permanently based at the centre, the site will also hold strategic stock to minimise delivery times for replacement parts.
The service centre will also have a team of mobile engineers.
The new location also includes a permanent office for the Weir Minerals sales team in Poland.
Jaroslaw Kukawski, regional sales manager Poland at Weir Minerals, said: “Weir Minerals already has a strong presence in Poland, having supplied mining, quarrying, recycling and other industrial businesses here for over two decades. The new facility means we can get closer to customers and prospects around the country, improving the service we already provide and developing our proposition for winning business."
Key customers for Weir Minerals in Poland include copper producer KGHM, the Rybnik, Patnow and Belchatow power stations and chemical and fertilizer company ZA Pulawy.
