With a theme of leading the future of water, WEFTEC 2024 is a chance to network in person with water professionals, to check out the very latest technologies and to catch up with industry and research developments. WEFTEC’s exhibition attracts key players from the pump sector, including Gorman-Rupp, Proco Products, Tsurumi Pump and Vaughan Company, which have provided World Pumps with insight on what they will be showcasing at the event 7–9 October 2024.
Gorman-Rupp Pumps
Booth 3429
Gorman-Rupp Pumps will be displaying a wide variety of products for the water and wastewater markets at the 2024 WEFTEC Exhibition running 7–9 October 2024, in New Orleans, Louisiana. At this year’s show, Gorman-Rupp will feature a variety of self-priming trash pumps, solids-handling submersible pumps, as well as a ReliaSource lift station, complete with pumps, piping and controls.
Along with these products, Gorman-Rupp will also have pumping demonstration units in the booth. These are very effective at demonstrating pump principles and serve as a great education tool.
Gorman-Rupp has been manufacturing pumps and pumping equipment since 1933, providing some of the most reliable pump equipment in the world. All of Gorman-Rupp’s pumps and lift stations are made in the USA at the company’s headquarters in Mansfield, Ohio.
Proco Products
Booth 3819
Proco Products Inc is proud to be a returning exhibitor at WEFTEC 2024 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Proco Products is the world’s largest supplier of expansion joints and rubber duckbill check valves. Check valves are commonly used in the water and sewage industry and are a cost-effective way to control back pressures from sewage treatment plants, outfalls, and tidal operations. All check valves are manufactured of barnacle resistant rubber with a top-quality fungicide.
The ProFlex check valves are designed to be a “zero maintenance” valve. The simple design allows effluent to force the two opposing rubber lips apart permitting flow, yet quickly closing to prevent the return of tailings or slurries. These valves provide full port flow while ready for the chance of backflow.
Proco ProFlex rubber check valves will not freeze or deform and function solely on the inlet and back pressures present in each application. Each valve is carefully constructed using the finest of engineered materials. All check valves are engineered in precise detail to ensure proper operation and will provide years of unhindered operation and trouble-free service.
All of the PROCO Series 700 ProFlex rubber check valves are available in a selection of various elastomers including ANSI/NSF-61 certified product under UL Certification #MH47689. Manufacturers of water treatment and distribution products in North America must comply with NSF/ANSI 61 to minimize potentially adverse effects caused from contaminants leaking into drinking water. This certification verifies that these check valves can safely be used in drinking water systems, thus showing Proco’s commitment to producing products that meet safety and health standards.

Vaughan Company
Booth 3717
WEFTEC 2024 gives attendees the opportunity to connect with Vaughan Company pump and mixing specialists to answer questions, help solve on-site challenges and learn more about the many different products available.
Each year, Vaughan brings full-sized chopper pumps to the WEFTEC show floor in order to demonstrate the durability and raw power of its equipment. The pumps are always participant favorites and the Vaughan booth is a great spot to learn something new about wastewater processing. This year’s on-site equipment list includes a Rotamix double nozzle assembly, 8L chopper pump, vertical recirculator w/ siphon kit, self-primer pump, and submersible conditioning pump.
WEFTEC’s Operations Challenge competition is a showcase of excellence in wastewater treatment, where over 58 skilled teams of professionals from across the world compete in a series of timed events. In the Vaughan Maintenance Event, teams race against the clock to restore a Vaughan conditioning pump, testing their ability to swiftly service critical equipment, ensuring uninterrupted wastewater treatment operations. (Vaughan might be biased but watching the Ops Challenge is one of the company’s favorite parts of the WEFTEC week.) Learn more about the program at https://www.weftec.org/program/exhibition/operations-challenge.
There is so much to learn and absorb at WEFTEC. Not only will Vaughan have its experts in the booth ready to assist with questions, but during Monday’s “Technology Spotlights” tour, the company will present “101 of Wastewater Treatment”, focused specifically on the influent process.
